Hockey in Bowen has a strong history and continues to evolve today for the enjoyment of players throughout the Whitsundays.

Bowen Hockey Association is proud to provide a supportive friendly club environment for serious hockey players through to the more socially minded players. Our Club is committed to ensuring that members enjoy their hockey experience regardless of age, gender, ability or financial means. Our goal to build a lifelong love of the game, hockey, as well to get fit and have fun in a safe nurturing environment.

Bowen Hockey offers a variety of skill based programs and competitions across junior, youth and adult divisions ranging from beginners, social, to highly-skilled. Whether a beginner to the sport or long time hockey enthusiast, Bowen Hockey is the club for you! We welcome players of all abilities, from the experienced to the beginner, any fitness levels, Women, Men, Girls and Boys.

Join our community of junior, youth and senior players looking to play a regular game each week without the pressure of travelling outside the Whitsundays!

All games are played on Sunday afternoons during school terms at Bowen State High School, Argyle Park rd. Showcasing the very best of our Whitsunday climate our Indoor season commences April to June with Outdoor grass season, July to September. Pre-season commences March.

Junior (6-9yrs) from 1pm - 2pm 

Intermediate (10-15yrs) - including junior BSHS team players from 2pm – 3pm

Youth & Seniors (16+yrs) - including BSHS team players from 3pm – 5pm.

Bowen Hockey operates skill development and training clinics throughout the year suitable for all ages and skill levels. Annually two cross-regional carnivals are played during the outdoor season.

July - mixed teams carnival, seven a side carnival and September - nine a side carnival whose emphasis is on the youth/high school teams.
